A Seven Day Tour of the Ancient and Historical Sites of the Great British Lake District

Lakes District A Megalithic Journey Neil McDonald

Our Great British Lake District has some of the most beautiful and dramatic mountain landscapes and seascapes in Britain and its ancient, mystical and historical sites are second to none. On this unique seven day tour, based on Neil’s book ‘The Lake District, A Megalithic Journey’, we will explore some of the classics of the Lakeland’s wealth of history and pre-history together with many of it’s little known gems.  Depending on availability we hope to be staying in the town of Keswick surrounded by mountains and with its great atmosphere, numerous old fashion pubs and great assortment of restaurants.
