Scotland’s Highlands & Islands
On this three center tour we will be heading north to explore the Ancient and Historical sites of the beautiful Highlands and Islands of Scotland, taking in the Isle of Arran, the location of the magnificent Machrie Moor. After leaving the island and returning to the mainland Kilmartin Glenn, also known as Scotland’s Valley of the Kings, is another incredible and extensive center of Megalithic activity. Then from our base in the wonderful fishing port of Oban, which is known as the sea food entre of Scotland, we will head over to the island of Mull, which we will traverse to take the ferry to the holy island of Iona. We should have a good three hours here before returning to our hotel in Oban. The following morning we will cross over to Arrachor, where our hotel stands on the bonny banks of Loch Long, where we can have a free afternoon to relax by the lake.
Price for the six day tour £1300 (Single Supplement £100)
The price includes all transport in the minibus and on four ferries. B&B on in the three hotels (except breakfast on the day of the Iona trip as we have to leave early), and all day tours and site visits.
